Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie, Florida, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The rating system for CMS is designed to help people choose the best care for loved ones. The ratings are based on associates, health inspections and quality measures such as weight loss, falls and pain management.
“In early 2017, when I transferred to Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie, we set a goal to earn a five-star rating with CMS within two years,” said April Bowers, executive director. “We are so excited that we met and exceeded the goal we set by earning the five-star rating prior to the two-year mark. I am so proud of the entire team for all of their hard work and continued dedication to our residents and our facility.”
Bowers found out about the rating on Feb. 11, 2019, and associates celebrated the achievement on Feb. 22 with a facility cookout.
