Beautiful Thanksgiving place settings created by the facility’s associates

On Nov. 18, 2018, Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie, Florida, hosted its second annual Family Thanksgiving Celebration.

“This event allows for residents and families to have a sit-down meal and for them to be served as if they were at a fine restaurant,” said April Bowers, executive director at the facility. “We can show how thankful and blessed we are to have the residents in our lives.”

There were more than 50 residents and their families in attendance. The dining room was beautifully decorated with Thanksgiving décor and place settings, and live music played throughout the event.

Alex Torres, nutritional services director, and Marilyn Slater, registered dietician, served the fabulous meal that included turkey and cranberry stuffing, baked ham with pineapple glaze and all of the fixings. The attendees had the choice of pumpkin, sweet potato and pecan pie for dessert.
